The Sótano de las Golondrinas ("Swallow's Cave") is a natural cave located in the Barrio La Sagrada Familia neighborhood, in the state of Mexico. It is a breathtakingly beautiful, hidden tourist attraction that consists of a massive 200 metre-long limestone cave. Inside the cave, one can find spectacular stalactites and stalagmites, while the view of the rocky walls and glimmering lights is an intriguing sight to behold. In addition, the cave houses a colony of thousands of migrating military swallows that spend their breeding cycle in the cave between April and October. The cave and its surroundings are open to visitors all year round, so one can explore and observe the fascinating creatures of the cave whenever one likes. For adventure seekers, there is also a zip line that allows visitors to take a virtual bird's eye tour of the cave. Needless to say, a visit to this spectacular place is an experience not to be missed.
