Soberanes Point is a scenic section of the Big Sur coastline in Garrapata State Park. The area is famous for rugged cliffs, sweeping ocean vistas, and vibrant seasonal wildflowers that dot the pathways. A network of hiking trails leads visitors through coastal bluffs, up ridges, and into Soberanes Canyon, where you can see hundreds of native plant species. Keep an eye out for wildlife like sea lions, harbor seals, and migrating whales offshore. Parking is available along Highway 1, but space can be limited during peak times. Be sure to pack layers for changing weather conditions and wear sturdy shoes for the rocky terrain.
