Sigöldugljúfur is an amazing canyon located in the eastern region of Iceland. It was formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago, and the lava streams can still be seen flowing down the canyon's walls. Despite its remote location, the canyon is accessible to hikers either by car or by boat. It's a two hour drive from Akureyri, Iceland's second largest city.
