Sigöldugljúfur is an amazing canyon located in the eastern region of Iceland. It was formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago, and the lava streams can still be seen flowing down the canyon's walls. Despite its remote location, the canyon is accessible to hikers either by car or by boat. It's a two hour drive from Akureyri, Iceland's second largest city. The walls of the canyon are incredibly picturesque and just begging to be photographed! The canyon is full of stunning cliffs, lush green meadows, and breathtaking waterfalls.
