Castello di Mola is an impressive Renaissance castle in the hilltop village of Castelmola, Italy. The castle was built in 1250 by the Ximenes family and has been reconstructed several times over the centuries. It is one of the most important historical sites in Sicily and offers amazing views of the valley and the Tyrrhenian Sea. Visitors can explore the three storeys of the castle, filled with beautiful frescoes, statues, and other artifacts. The structure of the castle is fascinating, with its two balconies, terraced tower and tiered section. You can also see the remains of an ancient tower, which served as a watchtower for protecting the village. Other attractions around the castle include a museum, chapel, churches, and an old mill. On the entrance, visitors can view a beautiful bronze sculpture of the Madonna from the 18th century. There is also a wonderful park and several old tombs, all of which are fascinating reminders of Castelmola's long history.
