The Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies in San Andrés Cholula, Mexico, is one of the oldest churches in America - having been built in 1541. The church is perched atop the Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pre-Hispanic structure in the world. It provides wonderful views of both the pyramid below and of the city of Cholula, which is located in the 3,000 year old valley of Puebla. The church boasts an impressive architectural design, with its large dome and Rococo-style features, making it a must-see in the city. Inside, you'll find several Baroque works of art and images of Our Lady of Remedies, the patron saint of Puebla. The Shrine is open to visitors and is worth a visit for those interested in the history and architecture of the city.
