📍 Greece
Navagio, or Shipwreck Beach, lies in a cove on Zakynthos’s northwest coast in the Ionian Islands. Its name comes from the rusting freighter *Panagiotis*, which ran aground here in 1980. Sheer limestone cliffs enclose the pale shore and blue water; from the viewpoint above, the wreck gives a sense of the cove’s scale. There is no road down to the beach, and rockfall concerns have led to restrictions on shore access and boat landings.
