The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most iconic landmarks in the UAE, and the largest mosque in the country. Its main prayer hall is the largest mosque in the world that can accommodate 40,000 worshippers, with a capacity of approximately 10,000 worshippers in the courtyard at its centre. The Mosque is decorated with marble, gold, semi-precious stones, and mirrors – all coming together to create an awe-inspiring effect. Despite its size, the grand mosque exudes a sense of tranquility, inviting visitors to explore its beauty and admire the intricate architectural details. Visitors can take a guided tour of the mosque, learn about its history and architecture, and appreciate its beauty. Photography is allowed, however it is essential to be respectful while taking pictures.
