Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a world-renowned religious site located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Built between 1996 and 2007, this massive white marble mosque is said to be one of the most stunning mosques in the world. It is the largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eight largest mosque in the world. The mosque is adorned with exquisite floral designs, ornate carvings, gold plated doors and the world's largest chandelier, weighing nearly 8 tonnes! Visitors can explore the mosque for free, giving them a chance to appreciate the variety of white marble that adorns the walls and courtyards. There are separate prayer halls for men and women, and two large minarets on either side of the prayer hall. Photography is allowed at most sections of the mosque, except for the prayer hall itself, and visitors are also required to dress modestly.
