Shannon Falls is a beautiful cascading waterfall located just south of Squamish, British Columbia. It is located in a densely forested area and is surrounded by picturesque mountains. With its close proximity to downtown Squamish, it is easily accessible from either the Sea to Sky Highway or the Squamish Valley Road. The falls are an impressive 335 meters (1,100 feet) tall and are the third-highest waterfall in British Columbia. It is particularly popular with the locals and makes for a great hiking destination.

The best way to experience Shannon Falls is from its base. Here, you can appreciate the stark beauty of the cascading water and majestic forest scenery. From this vantage point, you can make your way past the falls and into the nearby old-growth rainforest trails. The trails here provide a tranquil atmosphere and a number of photogenic spots. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as bear, deer, and bald eagles. Shannon Falls is a great option for a quick and easy day trip.
