Sforzesco Castle is a medieval castle located in Milan, Italy. Built in the 15th century under the rule of Duke Francesco Sforza, it was originally used for military purposes and as a royal residence. The castle was the site of a number of historic battles, including the French invasion of 1499. Today, the site is open to the public and has a number of attractions, such as a museum with art and artifacts from the reign of the Sforza family, and a 16th-century banquet hall with frescoes by Batista Crespi depicting courtly life in the sixteenth century.
