Carved out by the ephemeral Tsauchab River, this narrow canyon stretches about a kilometer long and up to 30 meters deep, revealing layers of sedimentary rock that shift hue under changing light. Hiking through its winding passage is relatively easy, though sturdy footwear is essential. Shallow pools may linger during wetter months, offering a refreshing sight in the otherwise arid region. Early morning or late afternoon visits reveal striking contrasts of shadow and color, and these quieter hours allow for more intimate exploration. Be mindful of limited water and high temperatures; bring enough supplies.
