Serre de l’Histoire des Plantes is a historic botanic garden located in Paris, France. It was founded in 1806 by botanist Jérôme Bignon, and remains a popular spot for visitors wanting to see the greenhouses, tropical and subtropical plants, and other botanic features. The greenhouses are composed of two 19th-century pavilions, as well as two typical greenhouses – the Stove and the Orangery. The Serre is also home to the National Collection of Carnivorous Plants and houses a wide variety of insectivorous plants from around the world. Visitors may take advantage of the garden's photographic opportunities while enjoying its many plants and fountains, or take a guided tour to learn more about its important history. The garden also offers educational classes, workshops and special events throughout the year.
