The Sentiero da San Rocco a Punta Chiappa is a coastal footpath on the Mortola headland linking the small hamlet of San Rocco to the rocky promontory of Punta Chiappa overlooking the Ligurian Sea. The route threads along terraced cliffs and macchia-covered slopes, passing dry-stone walls and low stone buildings that speak to local maritime and agricultural life. Visually striking are the jagged promontory and sheltered coves where sea light sculpts wet rock and creates vivid reflections; foreground boulders and low vegetation give strong textural contrast against open water. The trail is narrow and uneven in places, so compositions often benefit from low-angle shots that emphasize scale between cliff, sea and sky.
