
Sendero Laguna Nimez is a captivating nature reserve situated in El Calafate, in Argentinean Patagonia. It's composed of various lagoons, surrounded by a spectacular landscape, with the always glorious view of the imposing Cerro Calafate in the background. It's the ideal place for birdwatching lovers, who can observe numerous species of swans, flamingos, ibises, black-necked swans, grebes, geese and ducks. Besides birds, several land mammals can also be seen, such as guanacos. It's also a popular spot for leisurely walks and to enjoy the overwhelming beauty of the landscape. Several species of plants and flowers can be seen while you take the winding paths of the reserve. To best experience the reserve, it's recommended to rent a kayak, since it's only accessible through the water.
