📍 Iceland
Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool is an impressive outdoor pool located in Evindarhólar, Iceland. It is believed to be the oldest man-made pool in the country, dating back to 1923. The pool was originally built by students of the nearby Seljavellir National School as a place to take a dip in the Iceland's naturally cold waters. It measures 25m in length and 5m in width and is filled with crystal-clear glacial waters, giving it an incredibly picturesque feel. As of 2019, Seljavallalaug Swimming Pool has been restored and is now open for a unique swimming experience. Given its incredible historical background and scenic landscape, the pool has become a popular spot for photographers, both professional and amateur. Be warned though: it may take a little bit of effort to locate it, due to the small and unmarked roads in the area.
