Segovia is a charming city located in the Castile and León region of Spain, built on a hill overlooking the Eresma River. The area is steeped in history, boasting numerous landmarks like the Roman Aqueduct, the dramatic Plaza Mayor, and the 11th century Gothic Cathedral of Segovia. However, the most renowned attraction of Segovia is its Alcázar de Segovia. The castle, also known as Segovia’s Castle of the Three Cultures, is a forbidding reminder of the rich history of Spain and the Moorish influence on the city. The palace is a fortification of sandstone walls with looming towers and an iconic conical Tower of Juan II.
