Seebensee

Seebensee is a beautiful Alpine lake in Ehrwald, Austria and is an incredibly popular destination for day-trippers. The crystal clear and deep azure waters of the lake make for a stunning view. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk around the lake, or take a kayak to explore the lake further. This is also a great location for a picnic, as there are plenty of spots with excellent views. For the more adventurous, there are two popular hikes in the area- both of which offer magnificent views of the lake and the surrounding area. The easier of the two is the Seebensee Cirque Trail- it's an easy, relatively flat trail with some great photo opportunities and simply gorgeous alpine scenery. The second, slightly more challenging hike takes visitors to the summit of the Gaisalm, where you can admire the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. You can also enjoy some exquisite sunsets from the summit.
