Schokland Haven is located in the north of Schokland in the Netherlands. The historic fishing port was once a small island located in the middle of the Zuiderzee (now known as IJsselmeer). Due to drastic changes to the landscape, Schokland Haven is now part of the mainland. The harbour environment is quite unique and has long been a popular destination for locals, tourists and photographers alike. You can walk out along the piers and take pictures of the many boats or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There are also shops selling souvenirs and photographs of the haven. The Haven is also an important stop for bird watchers as coots, swans and other water birds can be found here. The Haven offers no accommodation solutions but it is situated near to other towns in Schokland offering places to relax and stay during a trip there.
