Schloss Lichtenstein is a stunning medieval castle, located in the hilly Swabian countryside of Lichtenstein, Germany. The castle was built in the mid-16th century, on a crag from which it gets its name (Lichtenstein means 'lightstone'). This picturesque castle dominates the landscape, and its romantic spire towers above the surrounding trees. Inside, you can explore the castle's many rooms, corridors and staircases, as well as its chapel, gallery and keep. Aside from the architecture, don't forget to take in the views of the Swabian mountains and valleys, which can be seen from the castle's terrace and garden.
