📍 From Drone, Switzerland
Schloss Laufen is a beautiful medieval castle located on the banks of Rhine Falls in Neuhausen, Switzerland. It was constructed in the 11th century and is among the oldest castles in Switzerland. The castle stands behind a bridge, at the foot of a cliff. Visitors can admire the scenic landscape, take a walk along the river, explore the castle ruins, and visit the adjacent museum. Although details of its history are largely unknown, some say it was originally built by an Alemannic tribe and then developed by the Counts of Rapperswil and the Habsburgs. Visitors can get an impressive panoramic view of the castle and Rhine Falls from the nearby observation deck. The area is accessible by car, train, and boat, making it an ideal spot for exploring the surrounding nature and history.
