Schloss Bronnen

Schloss Bronnen is a romantic castle located in Fridingen, Germany. The first record of the castle dates back to the 12th century. Bronnen Castle is one of the oldest castles in southwestern Germany, and it is one of the few remaining castles in the Swabian Alps that is still set in a romantic landscape. The castle consists of a variety of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles, types typical for religious buildings from the 13th and 14th centuries. The castle's history showcases a variety of occupants and owners, as well as renovations which affected its current shape and decoration. Currently, the castle is open for tourist visits and provides a glimpse of the impressive architecture and remarkable treasures of the former Holzstuben library and the chapel. Tourists can also enjoy the fine view of the Danube River from the beautiful park and the castle's terrace. The castle is a unique utopia of the past and a true relic of the region.
