Scala dei Turchi is a spectacular limestone rock formation near Realmonte, in Sicily. It has become a landmark attraction, offering stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the nearby town of Agrigento, one of the best preserved towns in the region. It's an ideal spot for a day trip from Agrigento or from other coastal towns such as Punta Secca and Portopalo. The area is open all year round and can be explored by foot. There are several walking trails that pass through the cliffs and caves of the Scala dei Turchi, providing opportunities for both beachgoers and nature lovers. In addition to its stunning views, Scala dei Turchi also features a unique characteristic: its white cliffs are actually fossilized sands and shells of ancient sea creatures. The cliffs appear to glisten in the sun, creating an impressive backdrop for cameras.
