Sata Cape Lighthouse is an ethnographic museum and lighthouse in Minamiosumi, Japan. Built in 1924, it is one of only a few lighthouses remaining from before World War II. Its stunning location jutting out into the sea makes it a popular spot for photographers and travelers alike. Take a leisurely stroll through the museum, which features artifacts that tell the history of life on the coast of Japan, including old photographs and documents. From here, you can get stunning views of the rugged coastline and the waters beyond. There is also a memorial hall dedicated to those who lost their lives at sea. If you want to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean, then make your way to the nearby observation deck. Don't forget to visit the lighthouse itself, where you can learn about the important role it plays in keeping the coast of Japan safe and sound.
