Sarmiento Park is the largest public park in Córdoba, Argentina. It is located in the heart of the city and is the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The park was renovated in 2017, and it now features lush greenery and a newly renovated lake. There is a variety of wildlife to observe in the park, such as various species of birds, turtles and fish in the lake. It is also a great spot for a jog or bike ride, since there are ample bike trails criss-crossing the park. In the centre of the park you can find the “Monumento a la Bandera”, a large monument that celebrates Argentina’s independence. Every evening, the monument is lit up with colorful lights, creating an impressive spectacle. There are also plenty of playgrounds, cafes and restaurants, making it an ideal place to spend an afternoon with family and friends.
