Saranrom Palace
📍 From Statue of King Rama IV, Thailand
Originally commissioned by King Rama IV in the mid-19th century, Saranrom Palace stands near the Grand Palace and served as a royal mansion and a venue for state visitors. Today, it houses the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but its historic architecture and serene gardens are still visible from outside. Across the palace grounds is the Statue of King Rama IV, honoring his role in modernizing Siam. Visitors can also stroll through the adjacent Saranrom Park, which once belonged to the palace and offers a peaceful retreat amid lush greenery. Proximity to other major attractions makes it a convenient stop during a tour of Rattanakosin Island.
