Santuario di San Michele Arcangelo is situated in the beautiful town of Monte Sant'Angelo in the Gargano region of Italy. This thousand-year-old sanctuary is dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel and it is an important pilgrimage site for those who practise Christianity. It is built on the spot where St. Michael the Archangel is said to have appeared in 490 AD. The Romanesque architecture and Baroque sculptures make the sanctuary an interesting place to explore. Inside the church, there are two beautiful chapels that were added in the 16th century. The church also features an archaeological museum which displays artifacts from different eras like Roman and Gothic sculptures. Visitors can also explore the crypt of the church which is said to be inhabited by the spirits of the dead.
