Santuario de la Virgen de los Remedios is a beloved shrine in the charming and historical city of San Andrés Cholula, Mexico. Built in 1735, the structure is one of the oldest and most important churches in central Mexico. An impressive combination of different architectural styles and materials, it is the end point of an yearly pilgrimage, and the destination of frequent visits and prayers of the local people. Inside, vibrant frescoes show the Virgin of Los Remedios surrounded by the Cholula values and ideals, while three altarpieces represent the Spanish Royalty that helped in the construction and enlargment of the shrine. The outside is decorated with Italian bas-reliefs, and magnificent domes that are beautifully illuminated in the nights. The shrine is definitely a must-see attraction during your visit to the city.
