Santa Maria del Mar Church

Santa Maria del Mar is a spectacular Gothic style church situated right in the center of Barcelona, Spain. Built in the 14th century and located in the Born district, it is one of the best examples of Catalan Gothic architecture. The church is extremely beautiful both in shape and design, most notably featuring its incredible flying buttresses, impressive arched doorway and detailed stonework which runs all around the building. Inside the church, visitors can admire a wealth of artwork from the 14th and 15th centuries, intricate stained glass windows, and the magnificent 18th century choir. It is an absolutely unique example of Gothic architecture, which you should definitely experience for yourself if you are visiting Barcelona!
