Sanatorium Metalurgist is a former medical resort in the Georgian town of Tskaltubo. The resort was set up in the early 20th century, using water from the nearby Kvirila river, and was frequently visited by Soviet workers seeking relief from various medical conditions. Even though much of the complex has since fallen into disrepair, various rooms and corridors still remain, filled with Soviet-era relics. The grounds are open to explore, providing an interesting window into life before the 1990s. Surrounding the complex are wonderfully picturesque woodlands, where visitors can go for a leisurely stroll. Despite its current state of disrepair, many photographers still come to the site to capture the timeless and captivating scenery of decaying Soviet architecture.
