
San Petronio - Cappella Bolognini, in Bologna is a stunning site to visit and take photos in this Italian city. It is situated inside one of the largest churches in the world, the Basilica of San Petronio. The Chapel is found in the third aisle of the Basilica, and is full of artwork, paintings and sculptures from the 16th and 17th centuries. It suprises with 36 ceiling frescoes by Giovanni da Modena, depicting the life of the Virgin Mary and scenes from the Old Testament. The Chapel also contains the tomb of the Bolognini family, and features sculptures by Coghetti and Carlo Maderno. It is a must-see for all those interested in Italian art and history!
