The San Nicolò Statue stands just offshore along Lecco’s waterfront, at the southeastern end of Lake Como. It depicts Saint Nicholas, the city’s patron and a traditional protector of sailors, shown in episcopal robes above a stone pedestal rising from the water. Its position connects Lecco’s religious identity with the lake that shaped local transport and trade. From the promenade, the solitary figure can be framed against rippling reflections, passing boats, and the steep mountains enclosing the basin; calm conditions create a particularly clear separation between the statue, water, and skyline.
