📍 From Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Ireland
The Samuel Beckett Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin, Ireland. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, it was opened in 2009 and is the most recent bridge in the city. Named after Samuel Beckett, Nobel laureate and native Dubliner, it is designed in a beautifully symmetrical arch arching between two towers. The bridge has a pedestrian walkway and cycle lanes and is illuminated at night by uplights in the two towers, giving it an ethereal glow. It is a popular spot for tourists to visit and photographs, its unique design being a pretty backdrop to the city.
