📍 From Riverside - North Side, Ireland
The Samuel Beckett Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. It is the latest of five river crossings and was opened in 2009. While the Dublin Port Company’s landings dock, George's Dock, and Talbot Memorial Bridge remain open, the bridge provides a new, modern link across the Liffey and is an attractive addition to the Docklands area. The bridge is especially unique as it is noted for its distinct, zinc coated double curved arch form which was achieved using a suspended crossing method of construction. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the bridge has become an iconic landmark of the city and is popular among tourists and locals alike.
