The San Antonio Missions, located along the San Antonio River in Texas, USA, are a string of five 18th-century Spanish missions, some of the oldest structures in the state. The four southernmost missions comprise the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, an area managed by the National Park Service. The missions are collectively listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most visited mission, Mission San Jose y San Miguel de Aguayo, features twin bell towers, an impressive church façade, a convento, a granary, and several acequias (irrigation systems). Mission San Juan is home to the oldest wooden doors in Texas, and the park also boasts a visitor center and the Espada Aqueduct. The location is rich in Tex-Mex culture and art and is the perfect place to learn about the area’s heritage.
