The Salzburger Dom is a beautiful baroque cathedral located in the heart of Salzburg, Austria. Dedicated to Saint Rupert and Saint Vergilius, it is the city's main religious building. Founded in 774, it has been expanded and renovated many times over the centuries. Its interior is majestic, featuring intricate tapestries, wood carvings and frescoes. Found in the cathedral is the Salzburg Bull, an elaborate astronomical clock from the 16th century. Its facade is impressive with its two spiral columns, statues, and reliefs by Izman. It also holds the Salzburger Domsingschule, one of the best youth choirs in Europe. Visiting the Salzburger Dom is a must for any traveler to Salzburg.
