Salto de agua Peña El Grito is a waterfall set against the steep rock outcrop (peña) known locally in the Los Cortijos area of Spain, where a concentrated stream plunges from a rocky ledge into a narrow plunge pool below. The site is visually striking for the vertical contact between bare, weathered stone and the moving curtain of water, which throws spray that softens the cliff textures and creates transient reflections in the pool. Photographically, compositions work with the cliff as a strong vertical element contrasted with the horizontal surface of the water; framing foliage or rock foregrounds emphasizes scale and depth. Flow is markedly seasonal, so the fall’s intensity and the amount of mist vary through the year. Access is along rural tracks and the site reads as a rugged, natural focal point in the surrounding landscape.
