Saltburn Pier is a stunning Victorian Pier in Redcar and Cleveland, UK. Commissioned for the owners of the Saltburn Spa Hotel, it was built in 1869 and is Grade II listed by English Heritage. It is 228m long and is made up of riveted wrought iron lattice girders. The Pier sits on the shore of the North Sea and is popular with fishermen and photographers. Its views are spectacular and it's a must-see for anyone visiting the area. The Pier is open to pedestrians at all times and has a Pavilion Café with a souvenir shop as well as plenty of benches for visitors to relax and watch the waves. There is also a beach launcher operated by the Redcar & Saltburn Coastguard that takes visitors out to the end of pier via inflatable RHIBs.
