
Salinas Grandes is an amazing salt flat located in the Province of Jujuy, in Argentina. It's part of the Santuario de Tres Pozos and one of the most impressive landscapes of Argentina. You will be able to see a big white expanse from afar and admire the infinity of the tracks left by passing vehicles as they trek across the seemingly endless stretches of salt. The surrounding mountain ranges are different shades of brown, making the area a great example of how nature intermixes different colors. Nearby, you can also find wonderful wildlife, including two species of flamingos native to the region. The town of Tres Pozos is a great choice for those willing to stay for a few days and explore. You can even experience the local culture and enjoy typical dishes, most of them featuring llama meat or lamb. A visit to this amazing site is perfect for those who love nature and remote places.
