Salina Grande is a spectacular natural salt lake located in the Santuario de Tres Pozos region, Argentina. Salina Grande is the largest salt lake in the area, is approximately 4 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide. It is called Salina Grande because it is the largest of the four salinas or salt lakes in the region, the other three are Salina Chica, Salina del Oso and Salina del Medio.

The setting of Salina Grande is remarkable, as it is surrounded by sand dunes on the edge of the Tres Pozos Nature Sanctuary, which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The lake has brilliant turquoise tones and shiny white salt encrustations around the edges - a unique sight in the remote desert of the Patagonia region. The panoramic views from the lake are breathtaking, with the surrounding desert extending towards the horizon, and the lake’s reflection shining in the sunlight. You can take a boat tour around the lake for a truly unique experience.It is also a great spot for wildlife watching - including various species of birds, flamingos, and other aquatic animals.
