📍 From Rue Saint Julien, France
Situated near the Marne River in Reims, France, Saint-Remi Cathedral stands out among the other Gothic architectural masterpieces of the area. This massive Cathedral was built as far back as the 5th century, although the structure that stands today is mostly from the mid-12th century. It is known for its beautiful flying buttresses, provided by the beautiful transept of the building. The Cathedral is such an impressive sight that Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was baptized here in 1804. The Church can be admired from both the inside and outside and offers tourists a stunning view regardless of which they choose. Visitors can explore the stunning stonework, intricately detailed doorways, towering turrets and the glorious stained glass windows from the 1960s.
