Saint Nikolaos Holy Convent is a Greek Orthodox women’s monastery between Imerovigli and Firostefani on Santorini. Founded in the 17th century at Skaros, the island’s former fortified capital, the community moved to its present site in the early 19th century. This history connects the convent to the dramatic rocky promontory below Imerovigli, where a substantial settlement once stood. The church’s Byzantine icons and carved wooden iconostasis reflect a religious heritage that extends beyond Santorini’s familiar caldera views.
