
Guimiliau is a commune in Finistere department in Brittany in north-western France. It is home to the Romanesque Church of Saint Miliau, which was built in the 12th century. The church is one of the most important religious monuments in Brittany, with a unique collection of sculptures, paintings, stone carvings, and some of the finest examples of medieval and Renaissance furniture. Inside the church is an altar piece, which is said to be the only one of its kind in France. Other interesting features include the unique architecture, stained glass windows, and the organ from the 15th century. Guimiliau and Saint Miliau are also known for their megalithic monuments, which are some of the earliest evidence of organized human activity in the region. There is a scenic hiking trail and walking path which runs through the area, allowing visitors to experience the beauty and serenity of this beautiful region.
