Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal is located atop the highest peak in the city of Montréal, Canada. Founded in 1904, the domed basilica, considered one of the most impressive in the world, is the largest shrine to St. Joseph in the world, welcoming millions of pilgrims and visitors each year. Its towering dome, second globally in diameter after St. Peter's in Rome, is visible from much of the city and offers a 360-degree view of Montréal. Comprehensive tours are available, with highlights including the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, illuminated altar and St. Joseph's tomb. The surrounding gardens house several monuments, and the oratory complex contains several museums, a gift shop and a cafe.
