St-Jean-de-Montmartre is a small hill situated in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and is home to one of the oldest Roman churches still standing, the Église Saint-Jean-de-Montmartre. Its highest point, which stands 127 metres above sea level and provides great views of the city, is the top of the Montmartre Funicular. Nearby, visitors can find the artist district of Montmartre, known for its narrow cobblestone streets, charming cafés, wine bars, and boutique shops. Also close by is the Moulin de la Galette, an old windmill turned restaurant, as well as the famous Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Paris. St-Jean-de-Montmartre is an idyllic area for a stroll, and ideal for photographers looking to capture scenes of Paris’ charming countryside.
