Located on the estuary of the Gironde River in the South of France, Saint Georges de Didonne Port is one of the most picturesque stretches of coastline in the region. Home to two marinas and sheltered by two large dunes, the port is popular among locals and tourists alike. Once off the water, you can explore the beach, create sandcastles, indulge in delicious seafood dishes, or take a much-needed break in the numerous restaurants and bars. Other activities that can be enjoyed here include stand-up paddle-boarding, cycling, fishing, and the obligatory coastal stroll. As it's facing the Atlantic, visitors may also be lucky enough to witness stunning sunsets, experience some dramatic sea views, and observe local wildlife.
