
The Saint Georges de Didonne Lighthouse is a white-painted landmark that sits upon a rocky shoreline in the French coastal commune of Saint-Georges-de-Didonne. The lighthouse towers 53 meters (174 feet) tall and can be seen from a great distance. Built in the 1840s, the lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in the region, and a symbol of the area's maritime heritage.
