Saigon Central Post Office is a working postal building in District 1, facing Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica on Công xã Paris Square. Completed in the late 19th century during French colonial rule, it is recognized by its ochre-yellow façade, green shutters, arched windows, and central clock. Inside, a long vaulted hall supported by iron ribs creates strong symmetry, while historic maps of Saigon and southern Vietnam cover the side walls beneath a portrait of Hồ Chí Minh. The broad entrance frames the patterned floor, counters, and busy public hall, giving photographs both architectural scale and a sense of everyday civic life.
