📍 From Inside, Czechia
Sadová kolonáda, or the Park Colonnade, is an ornate cast-iron promenade beside Dvořák Gardens in Karlovy Vary’s spa quarter. Built in 1880–1881 to designs by Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer, it originally formed part of the Blanenský Pavilion, a restaurant and concert venue whose main building was later demolished. The surviving gallery reflects the social world of the spa, where sheltered walks and musical entertainment accompanied the mineral-water cure. Slender columns, lace-like metalwork, and roofed pavilions give the structure an airy silhouette. Views along the walkway emphasize its repeating arches and symmetry, while views from the gardens set its pale ironwork against lawns and mature trees.
