Saddle Mountain is located in Necanicum, Oregon in the United States, and is part of the Coast Range. Rising over 2,700 feet high, the peak offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, Nehalem Bay and the Necanicum River. The summit is accessible by a moderate 4.2-mile roundtrip trail, and is frequented by hikers, campers, and visitors looking to explore the region's rugged beauty. Be prepared for a steep climb near the end, however, as the summit's exposed faces are quite challenging. The mountain's old-growth forest offers plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities, and the peak's wildflower meadows offer unique photo opportunities. The nearby Necanicum River Estuary features a shaded beach ideal for sunset photos, and its trails are also a must for nature lovers. Make sure to bring plenty of bug spray if you visit during the summer season!
