📍 From Inside, France
The Sacré-Coeur (Sacred Heart) is a magnificent Roman Catholic basilica situated at the highest point of the city of Paris, atop the hill of Montmartre. Its iconic white façade and shining gold dome make it a Parisian symbol, and it is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city. Built in 1889, the sanctuary was dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Visitors can explore the basement crypts, the mausoleum with the graves of distinguished French figures, as well as the Dome Church. The hilltop Sacré-Coeur is particularly special at night, as its glowing terrace offers stunning views of the city of lights. Don't forget to take your camera for some beautiful souvenir photos, and you can even take an elevator to the top for an elevated perspective of the Paris skyline.
